How to participate?
Individual students cannot sign up for the competition. If you are a student wanting to participate - please inform your English Department Head about it.
Once your school has signed up, you are ready for round 1.
The lucky winners from round 1 will be invited to participate in the NM Final on Wednesday the 12th of February 2025 at Jessheim VGS

Registration
Schools must register through this site using our "Sign up! " form.
Organizing Round 1
Once registered, the schools need to attract students locally and prepare for Round 1. All students in VGS can participate.
The writing competition
The writing competition in Round 1 will take place on Wednesday the 8th of January from 09:00 - 12:00. Each school needs to set aside a room for the students and to enlist a jury of teachers to select the best entry. Schools are responsible for securing anonymity of the participants.
The theme/task will be sent to the registered contact person at 08.30 on the 8th.
The local juries need to pick a winner and submit the names to English Teachers Norway co/

Deadline: Friday January 17th.
Short film
The students competing in the category short film will receive the same topic/task as the writers. They will have to submit their film by 23.59 on Sunday January 12th to this site. (An upload link will be published shortly).
Depending on the total number of entrants, ETN will either send the entries back to the schools to decide on a school winner or allow all entries to compete in the final. Either way the filmmakers will only have to make one film during the competition.
The Final -
The final will take place on Wednesday the 12th of February 2025 at Jessheim VGS.
The writers from each school will go head-to-head in a new writing competition. The theme/topic will be sent to the contact person for each school by email.
